ongaq was in charge of the lyric production and recording production, including vocal recording, for Pocari Sweat Hong Kong’s ion water commercial “Water You Up”!Following on from the previous “Sweat is Heart” commercial, we used Rec Out for the production, with the composition and arrangement done in Hong Kong and all the production for the lyrics and vocal recording done in Japan.
As the vocalist was from Tokyo, we used a studio in Tokyo this time. We had a minimum of four people in the studio: a director, an engineer, a vocalist, and a production person, and the rest participated remotely.The client was able to take a coffee break up to a minute before the start of the recording, which allowed them to be very relaxed about the session.
The recording itself proceeded with lively communication, and the session data was confirmed in Hong Kong 30 minutes after the recording was completed, which was pretty quick.
It’s not just “COVID-19 coping specs”, but “remote even without the one”.
